    Media Release

After reading about Micheala Holmes fundraising effort to give something back to the Mocha Shriners, Seaforth Country Classic Tournament Chair Maureen Agar felt that the tournament could assist her in this endeavor.  “My family has been neighbours of Jack and Janette Holmes for many years and watched the struggles that Micheala has gone through as she fights congenital scoliosis.  I am so impressed with how the Mocha Shriners are providing expert medical care allowing Micheala a chance to grow and live without constant pain”, said Maureen.  After speaking with Carolanne Doig, tournament Director, it was decided that the Seaforth Country Classic would donate $3.00 of every ticket sold from June 15th-June 30th to Micheala’s fundraising efforts.  The tickets are for the 2011 Seaforth Country Classic, a professional golf tournament on the Canadian Tour.  The $20.00 ticket gives you every day/any day spectator admission, a chance to win a trip to the 2012 Masters in Augusta, Georgia, support the official charity of the Seaforth Country Classic, the Gateway Rural Health Research Institute, and now support Micheala’s efforts to give back to the Mocha Shriners for their wonderful support.  Micheala will also be the Ambassador of the Seaforth Country Classic Junior Pro Am that will be held August 17th.  We hope people will purchase their ticket this month and show the Mocha Shriners and Micheala that small communities work together to help each other. Students and classmates from Central Huron Secondary School will be selling the tickets in support of Micheala from June 16th-19th.  The 2011 Seaforth Country Classic will also be donating $2.00 to Central Huron Secondary School for every ticket a student sells in support of Micheala.
